As observed, the whole field is around 3 hectares. The team decided to get the lowest part of the field to avoid contamination of DPF with other fields wherein the results may not be accurate.
Hence, 1 hectare of land was chosen and was applied with 7 kg of fertilizer.

The rice field is 24 DAT as of now. This rice field is dedicated to rice breeding, as explained by the owner. They use what they call male and female seeds to facilitate cross-pollination, aiming to develop improved rice varieties with desirable traits. 8 kg of DPF was applied today.

As observed by the team, some spots of the demo field seem to be affected by pests as well as some spots in the control field.
Upon gathering data, here are the results:
Number of Tillers
Rice with DPF | Rice without DPF |
S1- 25 | S1- 16 |
S2-12 | S2- 20 |
S3-15 | S3- 9 |
Ave: 17.33 tillers | Ave: 15 tillers |
Length with Roots

Rice with DPF | Rice without DPF |
S1- 70 cm | S1- 76 cm |
S2- 72 cm | S2- 75 cm |
S3- 70 cm | S3- 73 cm |
Ave: 74.66 | Ave: 70.66 |
With this data, we can see that in terms of tiller and roots, the field with DPF has greater results. However, we will still need to monitor for the following days for the result of the yield of the demo and control field.

The rice field is 33 DAT as of now.

As per the farmer, some spots were affected by the golden apple snails. Hence, some bald spots in the field.
February 11, 2025
The rice field is 38 DAT. For the 45 DAT, gibberellic acid will be applied to enhance the growth of the male seeds. The rice plants can grow as tall as a person, allowing the male plants to cross-pollinate with the female plants. After pollination, the male plants will be cut and spread across the entire field.

Field was still affected with Golden apple snails. As per the farmer, they will apply pesticide for that.

Last application of DPF today wherein the farmer applied 8 kgs to be specific.
February 26, 2025
Today is the 53 DAT of rice. Also the day wherein the farmers applied Gibberellic Acid (late application). After 15 days, the male rice will be cut off and will be mixed with the rest of the field.

For the control field, some parts seem to be white due to the insect called Stem Borer. On the other hand, the demo field seems to have no affected parts. In this, we can see one of the 4 core tech of DPF which is resistance inducing specifically to pests.
Next visit will be the harvesting of rice already. Based on computation, total applied DPF is 23 kilograms for the chosen 1 hectare of land.
